The process of building any mod starts long before any wrench time is logged, with project planning and layout. Then the material acquisition begins, which happens to be the stage I am in currently.

So as a result I am 3 weeks into this new build and have not so much as turned a screw driver yet.

But all the parts are ordered and are starting to come in. Today I got a shipment of headers “AKA” multi pin connectors for wiring. I have the new XBOX Slim. And so far that is it.

I am currently looking into some different screens, sizes and aspect ratios. I have ordered 3 different lcds and will use the one that works best.

Today I also received a Kinect extinction cable that I will use to power the lcd and add a connect port to the back of the Xbox Portable.   I want to keep as much of the original functionality of the Xbox Slim as I possibly can.

 A big headache I have been dealing with is trying to wring info out of Samsung about an 18.4” lcd they make. I finally succeeded in getting them to send me a detailed data sheet on it. I would really like to use this model lcd in future units because it is full HD at 1920X1080 resolution. Other than that I am still waiting on parts and will keep you posted on my progress.
